Annabell “Ann” Wright, 75, of Calhoun, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, in an Etowah nursing home.

She was a native of Monroe County and a resident of McMinn County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Vance Devine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton “Tip” Wright on March 16, 2012.

She was retired from American Uniform Co. and was a member of Sanford Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Wright of Soddy-Daisy; daughter, Lisa Merrell of Reliance; one granddaughter; two brothers: Bill Devine of Englewood and Mace Devine of Maryville; five sisters: Fay Moses of Madisonville, Joyce Devine of Madisonville, Omie Hopper of Madisonville, Wanda Holloway of Greenback and Connie Downey of Maryville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Sanford Baptist Church with the Revs. Calvin Teague and Joe Davis officiating.

Interment will follow in Lower Spring Creek Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be deacons of Sanford Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening, Sept. 16, 2013, at the funeral home.
