Amy Sue Carroll, 73, a resident of Spring City and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at a local health care facility.

She was born Amy Sue Turner on July 15, 1939, in Nashville, Ark., to Lorene and Troy Turner. She spent her childhood in Mineral Springs, Ark., along with one sister and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Carroll; her mother, Lorene Turner; her father, Troy Turner; her sister, Joann Haskin; and her brother, Carl Turner.

She was of the Methodist faith, and enjoyed sewing and quilting as her favorite hobbies.

She is survived by her brother, Billy Turner of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; sons: Dale J. Dobbs of Pasadena, Calif., David Dobbs of Dayton and Brian S. Dobbs of Hurricane, W.Va.; daughters: Diane Johnson of Galatin, Susie Napier of Wayne, W. Va., and Janie Dobbs of Galatin; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
