Award-winning dancer Allie Elliott is a student at Ocoee Middle school. She is the daughter of Gary and Lori Elliott and the granddaughter of Jimmie Ann and George Poe. Allie is a straight-A student, a National Youth scholar and a member of the Beta Club.

She is a member of the OMS dance team and is the captain for her upcoming eighth-grade year. The dancer received the outstanding seventh-grade dancer award and the academic award for the dance team.

She dances for Chilhowee Dance and Performing Arts Center also under the direction of Nisa Hooper and is a member of their Avant Garde Company competitive team. She received the outstanding Teen Dancer of the Year award and was a Miss CDPAC finalist at the May 19 spring recital.

A competitive soloist with the CDPAC, she won several awards this past season: first place overall teen solo at NYLA National Dance Competition in Knoxville; scored a platinum and won first place in the Teen Open Division in Chattanooga.

Her solo, “I’m Amazed,” also scored a platinum at Dance Troupe Inc. and platinum, first-place open category and second overall teen solo at Stage One Dance Competition in Atlanta.

She received the Sunshine Judges Choice Award, Platinum, first-place Overall Grand Champion; Intermediate Soloist Level 1; and second Highest Score of the Day, 13 and up.

She will compete at the NYLA Dance Competition Nationals in Biloxi, Miss., June 23-25.
