Tennessee Highway Patrol is in charge of a multiple vehicle crash which occurred on APD 40 Tuesday evening.

According to 911 reports, at least five people were injured and transported to the hospital.

The call came in just after 6 p.m., indicating at least three vehicles were involved in the crash which was reported near the Spring Place Road exit.

Traffic along the bypass was shut down while emergency crews from Bradley County Fire Rescue, BCSO and Bradley County Emergency Medical Service worked to free the victims from the crash. One car had overturned during the crash.

According to Stan Clark of BCEMS, none of the five victims appeared to be seriously injured.

- A Jennings shotgun and Stihl weed trimmer were among items reported stolen during a Ladd Springs Road burglary.

Deputy Cru Ross filed a report for Kelly Painter.

Painter said she was the caretaker for the residence and when she visited the address Sunday, she noticed a door to the residence was open.

The .410 guage shotgun was stored behind a refrigerator which was also missing. Painter then discovered the Stilhl weed trimmer was missing from the basement area of the residence.

The homeowner, Fred French, said he had been in the process of remodeling the house and would attempt to obtain serial numbers for the missing items, according to the report.

Loss was estimated at $1,700.

Investigation is continuing.
