More than $51,000 worth of electrical equipment and supplies was reportedly taken when the trailer the items were being transported in was stolen from a Charleston site
According to a report filed by deputy John Davis of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, he was called to the location Wednesday and spoke with Jeff Robinson of Conyers, Ga.
Robinson said the trailer, which was free-standing at the time, belonged to J.D. Gaddis Electrical, also of Conyers.
The 2004 white Horton trailer had the company logo on its sides.
Piping valued at $30,000, a fiberglass tapering machine valued at $4,500, cutting tools, copper wire, and many other items were contained inside the trailer. The trailer was last seen March 20.
According to Robinson, a hitch lock had been attached to the trailer.
Evidence recovered at the scene indicated the lock had been cut.
Criminal Investigations Division detectives with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office are in charge of the investigation.
According to the report, the trailer and contents were valued at $51,700.
- An English Oaks resident reported an aggravated burglary had occurred at her home.
According to a report filed by deputy Matthew Landolt, Piper Swiger arrived home Wednesday and discovered several items missing from her bedroom.
Three handguns, a BB gun, and blanket and a safe deposit box were missing.
According to the report, no sign of forced entry was evident at the scene.
CID detectives were notified of the burglary and an investigation is continuing.
- A truck that had been reported stolen recently was recovered by officials with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office. Brittany Collins was listed as the owner of the truck, according to a report filed by deputies.
The red Ford pickup truck was returned to Collins and a suspect, Robbie Nicholson, was taken into custody regarding a warrant for his arrest.
He was charged with theft over $1,000, according to Bradley County Jail records.
