Larry Alan Ulery, 71, of Englewood, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017. He was the son of the late Jacob Daniel Ulery and Maxine Sparks Ulery. A native of Indiana, he had spent the majority of his life in Georgia and had spent the last 3 ½ years in McMinn County; attended Wildwood Baptist Church; and retired as office manager from the Cordele office of the Georgia Department of Labor after 32 years of service. Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Due to his service, he lost his hearing, but he never lost his pride for serving his country. He was an avid fisherman, a great cook, veracious reader and loved woodworking. He could do anything from building to electrical work, plumbing and appliance repair. He loved the ocean, the mountains, the NFL and his cats. more
