Environmental conservation is in the eye of the beholder. It will now be in the eyes of a U.S. District Court judge. A trio of conservation groups filed suit Thursday against the U.S. Forest Service (which is overseen by the U.S. Department of Agriculture) seeking to stop a project in the Cherokee National Forest it claims will cause “unlawful impacts to soils, forests, and waters.”  more
