Matthew Rice, RN, BSN, receives Tennova Healthcare-Cleveland Nursing Excellence Award
Tennova Healthcare Cleveland announced that Matthew Rice, RN, BSN, dialysis coordinator has been selected to receive its Nursing Excellence Award.
This peer-nominated award, created in honor of 2020 being the “Year of the Nurse,” and in recognition of the critical role nurses have played in treating patients throughout the COVID pandemic, was open to qualifying RNs and LPNs working in a direct patient care position who consistently demonstrate characteristics synonymous with nursing excellence.
Rice was chosen from among more than 30 nominations for his outstanding contributions in the areas of compassionate healthcare.
“Matt is known for being professional, knowledgeable, and always kind,” states Connie Deloach, RN manager.

Trek Thru Truth, Cleveland’s emerging children’s museum, held its third annual gala, as a “closed even” on its website, on Sept. 27.
The gala was TTT’s first virtual gala. The theme “Waymaker” was introduced through a multi-sensory presentation of the song featuring Talian Ross on keyboard with Christyn Ross and MaeLee Lemley providing vocals. Kathy Coker elegantly signed throughout the piece while Unity Dance Troupe provided an original dance featuring dancers Lauren Leggett, Grace Barham, Sydney Gobble and Madison VanHook, under the direction of Austin and Alexis Burleson.
